I knew from the beginning that I wanted to work with a both a company name and a product name.

I made this decision because in the future, when different products are produced, the company name wouldn't only be relevant to my first product.

I felt that my own name, Daniel Mancuso, was most indicative of my company, because the goods are designed and handmade by me alone. The product name, however, was a different story.

These are the categories I used to generate possible names for my product:

I decided to only work with my last name for my company name because it is unique enough to stand on its own without the help of my first name. As for my product, I settled on Conrad. The name originates from the combination of two foreign languages. The first part of the name, "Con", means "with" in Spanish. The second part, "Rad", translates to "bike" in German. I felt the name was most successful in the way that it was almost an alter ego. It's a simple name with a strong meaning behind it. The next step would be finding fitting typefaces for both my company name of Mancuso, and product name of Conrad.
