The first step in my product ideation was to collect data about the students within the campus community.
Working within a group, we worked together to create surveys that could tell us more about the students around us. My specific focus was aimed at finding out more about how the student body spends their money on eating options around campus. They surveys were handed out to 80 people, consisting of both students and faculty.
Following the surveys, I found that a lot of people were spending a lot of money on campus just to eat during the day. Many of them expressed that they were buying food from campus establishments because of convenience factors. This research, while somewhat irrelevant to my product, helped me understand spending limits of those on campus and also bettered my understanding of data collection.
