Knee Tears

The left knee has a small repair. It was winter, and I managed to slip and fall leaving work at the UWM Union. Unfortunately, I had just started wearing these jeans at the time, so this small repair was really disappointing. In hindsight, I'm glad I took a knee rather than a laptop-occupied backpack to the concrete.

Miller Park Mishap

Being the responsible young man I am, and with guidance of a friend, we thought it better to ride bikes to Miller Park from Milwaukee's East Side. He rode his grand mountain bike, and I borrowed this weird child-sized thing. Well, after some serious beverage consumption, the ride home wasn't as smooth. I ended up taking a pretty nice spill on a hill downtown, and tore these suckers open.

Stress Tears

Sometimes, all the flexing and folding is just too much for the poor cotton fibers, especially when the denim is fairly rigid, and they crack. The result is called a stress tear.

Cuffs

I have a habit of always cuffing my jeans. Maybe it's the lack of contrast without exposing the inside. Maybe it's to show off the selvage. Maybe it's just my style. At any rate, eventually the folds become too sharp or get walked on and the denim gives. Sometimes it's be being lazy and trying to slip my shoes off.
